The Arts Guild sponsors special events each year to raise funds for the Guild 's programming, and to provide enjoyable art-appreciation events for the Northfield community.
Our popular Arts Fair will be held in the heart of downtown Northfield in September 2010. More than 75 artists and fine craft artisans will show their work on the stone walkways hugging both sides of the Cannon River. As always, the Festival coincides with the Defeat of Jesse James Days celebration, which brings crowds of 150,000 each year. Find wonderful photography, pottery, paintings, fiber art, jewelry and more by artists from all over Minnesota and the region.
EligibilityOur festival is open to artists and craftspeople who are interested in selling, displaying, and demonstrating their arts and crafts. All work is juried by a panel of artists and must be a final product of original design. No imports, commercial jewelry, kits, molded ceramics or manufactured items will be accepted. No dealers, agents, or product representatives will be accepted.
10 am to 5 pm each day, rain or shine

Save the Date: Saturday, March 13, for this fun new slant on the Auction for the Arts! It's the last big bash to celebrate the Arts Guild's 50th anniversary, and we want to celebrate the whole community (as well as the art and artists) that makes the arts guild possible. This auction will be an event for the whole family. The evening will start with arts activities for kids, continue with a potluck dinner. There will be a silent auction of the wonderful 50th anniversary canvases and cups created by many generous local artists, and a short live auction of special services, including, of course, the Contented Cow' Number One Mug. Of course there'll be music and great company and more, so this will be an event you won't want to miss

Put on your dancing shoes, your Annie Hall vest and brush your Farrah flip into hairsprayed high gear; this years Auction for the Arts gets down and funky with a trip back to the 70s.
In what promises to be an auction like no other, the Arts Guild building will be turned into an all arts experience with a retro flair. Learn to throw a pot and undulate your middle in a belly dance; try out some theater costumes or makeup while listening to strolling performers; play an ongoing 70s trivia game while taking part in our silent and live auctions led by premier auctioneer Ed Kuhlman (who is rumored to have taught John Travolta the dance moves for Saturday Night Fever). This fabulous party of the arts will culminatenaturally! in a disco dance upstairs at the NAG.
So gas up the Pacer, dust off the leisure suit, and join us with your bad self on Saturday, the 14th of March, 711 pm at the Center for the Arts, 304 S. Division Street.
the EDS of March!
